Our mission is to deliver training services that help direct care staff members reach their full potential safely, happily, and successfully with the desire to enhance their career path.
Training is required to help every staff member become better qualified to work with children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with varying circumstantial backgrounds.

Meet Trena Dixon
CEO and Founder of MJM Training, Trena Dixon has 28 years of experience working in group homes and counseling disadvantaged youth. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services, is certified in Computer Business and has held an Administrator's Certificate and worked as an administrator in the state of California, for 24 years.
Mrs. Dixon is currently the Program Coordinator and Corporate Trainer at a STRTP facility in Fresno. She previously worked as the Program Director for an adult day program where she coordinated and developed the training curriculums.
With a wealth of the knowledge and multiple years of experience, Trena will provide your direct care staff and facility managers with the necessary tools to reach their full potential safely, happily, and successfully with the desire to enhance their career path while “Learning For The Future.”

Training
Group home and STRTP training courses are designed for either direct care or administrative staff. Classes are available on-site or at an MJM Training location.

Cultural Diversity
This four-hour training is designed to improve the skills of direct care staff working with children from different cultural backgrounds. The training covers the importance of understanding cultural diversity, how to work with others from different cultures, and the expectations direct care staff may have with the youth being placed in their home.

Discipline Policies and Procedures, Positive Discipline, and Importance of Self-Esteem
This four-hour training teaches the participant acceptable forms of discipline and behaviors that may customarily result in discipline. The importance of notes, records, and follow-up to evaluate subsequent therapeutic goals and objectives.

Substance Abuse Issues
This two-hour training presents a brief discussion about what to do if your teen has a problem with drugs. The course is designed for the direct care staff and administrator of at-risk children, intended to protect the licensee, direct care staff and administrator against stressors occurring in their lives which could affect their job duties and that of the child.
